Google has pulled out of the Yahoo deal, the FCC 700 MHz Auction, and many other rumored deals over the last few years. Will the trend continue?

Sprint's New Early Termination Fee Policy

In a statement release today by FCC Commissioner Deborah Tate, Sprint is relaxing their ETF (Early Termination Fees).

Tate states in her press release: "Consumers will be pleased that another cellular provider has announced it will prorate early termination fees (ETFs).

The New FCC Chairman and Staff

So who will be the next "Commission"?

While it may be only for a short term, come January, when FCC Chairman Martin is expected to resign, President Obama will have to either name a temporary Commissioner until a permanent chairman is nominated and confirmed or he will jump right into it by naming Martin's successor.

For both an interim and permanent choice are current Commissioners Copps and Adelstein. The License Exempt Industry's latest gives Adelstein a slight edge.
